8/11: Infopass Appointment @ San Jose -- Submitted the EVL and other documents given by the company. IO made copies of our Finger Printing notice.
8/19: Infopass Appointment @ San Jose -- Officer checked the status of our case and indicated visa number has been assigned. Files are with the same officer.

My employer is also behaving exactly similar way... Spend the money from your own Pocket ( 350 med + 385 ) around $750 and ask them to just
give the Future Employment Verification Letter for 485.
I'm finishing up all forms and other activities Like Medical , Birth Certificate etc..
After that pounce on your employer for Letter + the fees for 485 + fees for your own attorney fees ... If they disagrees come to a deal with just for the Letter... You are all set then !!
If they still dont agree i'll tell them that you are resigning and immigrating to Canada (Tell them that your Canadian PR is almost approved and you have a distant relative there)

As I discussed earlier in this thread, Mine are the same dates as yours and two minutes ago I got the email of Card Production Ordered. It's been more than a month I got the Approval Notice. It seems atlast they uploaded my and my wife's Biometrics from CSC.
I think my call to IO paid off. After trying couple of times I got in touch with a decent IO for 3rd time. She said that Biometrics are missing and she will upload them from CSC. Three days after the call I got this message.

Probably she is reading a standard call script. God knows...
Today, I received the approval notice in mail. However I did not get the physical cards. The notice says that I may have to do the biometrics again to get the but need not take any action at this time.

Hi guys,
My first H1B (2003) had LUD on 14th of July...and today there is a LUD on I-140. My I-140 approved in March 2007..PD is March 2005...Is it good indication that they are doing something with my I-485 case? My application reached NSC on july 2nd (not sure about time as my lawyer sent those papers). My I-140 is from TSC.
Mine is pretty much the same situation and see a LUD of 08/05/2007 on my I-140 today. Hopefully I will see checks cashed in the next couple of days. Fingers crossed. :confused:

Just for everyone's info, I received all my receipt notices(485,EAD,AP) today including for my wife and son. Applications were received at NSC on July 3rd and finally transferred to TSC because my I-140 was approved from there in Nov 2006. I saw a LUD on approved I-140 on 8/5/07. My checks were not cashed until 8/31 when my attorney last checked. My guess is that these were cashed around 1st week of sept.
One important thing I want to mention that my attorney hadn't filled in my A# from I-140 into I-485. He entered it as "None" and I was worried of any negative effect, but USCIS correctly figured it out and mentioned this no. on all my receipt notices.
However, they mixed up the nos. for my son and wife's receipts. My wife's 485 receipt has my son's A#. My attorney went ahead and contacted USCIS right away.
I hope everyone get receipts soon.

I myself will not support for skill Bill in current form. Too much H1b numbers will not only create a problem for US citizens it will also for current H1bs as well future H1bs. That 20% automatic adjustment and exemption for Cap for MS persons will increase supply and it will be tough to find a job if too many people are in the market. There are abundant jobs in India. Let people wait in India for 1 or 2 years to come here. Sustained immigration without increasing unemployment is better for US as well as potential immigrants. Otherwise Hate will increase. It may be easy to talk Capitalism and fittest will survive. When those people talking will be unemployed for more than 6 months with kids in the family will realise the truth. In the Forum most of the people are young and they did not face any issue other than Green card.
But speed with which Corporations and Lawyers are working the Skill bill be passed in current form soon. We will wait and see after 3 years after increasing H1B. My prediction is Limited increase in H1 with Moderate increase in GC numbers will solve the problem for all the gc waiting people without big reaction from anti immigrants and that will boost sustained immigration.

After receiving the standard email respose from the congressman/senator...I am wondering are they even aware about the legal immigrants. All we are getting the standard template which is talking about only illegals and DREAM.

I agree that we need to strengthen IV by contributing our time, money. But, to me it looks like most of the successes(how small they are) of IV are making EB3 suffer more. Not anything against EB2 guys, don't start a war please. I think IV should concentrate more on EB3. I have seen vocal EB2 people writing against EB3 in these forums. But do we really have to suffer like this?
I agree completely with vdlrao and pappu. We are doing our best to put lot of efforts to sort this out by volunteering. What is your guess, how many people stuck in GC mess in the DC Metro area? Thousands, right????? We had a State Chapter meeting for Maryland, Virginia and DC and you know how many show up for the meeting ????? Take a guess...15!!!! You guys just know how to yell and scream at this blog. Convert your anger into something constructive......IV is not the President of this country that would go ahead and pass legislation to bring you relief. It is the lawmakers.....This has to be collective effort. I will like each one of you to first donate, volunteer before coming to this site to blame the organization. You should be thankful to the people running this show putting their time and energy for our cause. President of this country is having hard time to pass a legislation on health care and you expect IV with help of couple of people can get you legislative relief with couple of hundred dollars!!!! Guys wake up to the reality and contribute to IV.....Work with your state chapters...There are lot of people ready to take initiative through your state chapters but they find no one supporting them.
