So may just have to wait for approval.

Yes I was called for an in person interview and after the interview was told that the case is approvable. All the checks have been done and I just need a visa # to get the GC. I do not know how and why I was called for interview but I was the amonst the day 1 filer in July 2007. My application had reached on Jul 2 2007.

I am not sure I agree with you on that EAD will go invalid if the primary applicant stops working fulltime. This is because the greencard application and everything associated with it is for a FUTURE job offer.
What I am trying to see is the analysis of this situation from the point of view of an attorney. It would be great if one of the attorneys can chime in here!
Couple of more points in case it wasn't clear in my original post

2) The option of going to MBA after I get the greencard will not work. For one, it will take me (eb3 india) years to get it, at which point going for an MBA will be too late. Also I got this opportunity to attend a top-3 MBA after so much hardwork and I do not want that to go to waste.

Some of the figures looked a bit too unbelievable so I checked out. A particular one that was hard to believe - in the US Science and Engineering undergraduates is 32% (page 1 of IV report). On checking with the referenced document (Executive summary) at:

well i got marriage church, but we didn't got are license yet, because my husband have some problem in court.( he is a citzen) We'll know if he will go to jail or not in march 31.
my question is:
since we don't know if he will or not. I need to know if i can start my paper with the immigration?
because if he goes to jail.. how we will do the interview if he is not here to go?

Last 2 years of college I was working full time in my field and going to school full time.
How did you work full time during college for 2 years? Unless you had an off-campus work permit I wouldn't even tell Immigration about that 'experience'.
And AFAIK you have to earn the bachelor's first and then count the years of experience.

Can you share how you can check your status online after you've filed I-485? Who would send you the URL --your immi lawyer or the USCIS? Also, my lawyers filed said they filed my 485, AP, EAD the same day. Is that possible?

I brought this up in July 2006, about atleast filing a class action lawsuit, even if its thrown out of court, we have attention of the news media. Being a taxpayer we are entitled to use the court system. But, at that time I was practically boo-ed of the website to the extent, that I erased my comments and stopped coming to this website.
If we are in this together, I still think its possible. We talk about media attention, this is probably the best way to do so.
Grounds:
1) Discrimination based on country. I know about 7% quota, but a judge can put a hold on quota or refer it to more stidies or throw this issue. We dont know what the judge will think, its highly stupid for us to assume, that he will be against us from the start.
But it will get media coverage and media will definitely comment on numbers of indians/chinese and simple ignorance of whoever came up with this quota. And also the fact that these are doctors, engg stc and in high tax-brackets.
2) Emotional trauma, spouse not able to work and such. Thats a human rights issue, which is even bigger than immigration. It will start another debate.
These are two very big grounds, another would be taxation without representation.
I know immigration is a privilege, butas long as it gets media attention and average american starts realizing the difference between legal and illlegal.
I think it will also bring CIR to debate sooner.

I think as far it does not say unknown, we should be good....but still we should atleast discuss this wit our respective attorneys and post our findings in here.

To answer your question the Priority date column is NULL ( i mean blank) for most of us in 485 Receipt Notice.
But the "Section : " is showing UNKNOWN for some of us and showing something else for others...

I resubmitted my I-485 petition sometime Nov 2008. So far no receipt, made a query with USCIS. Now I got letter from USCIS saying that they did not found my package, they want me resubmit with all the evidence and previous of copy of application.
We have been planning to go to India and get it stamped since we are in 6th year. My company is such a lowsy company (If god is there, he should punish this BLOOD SUCKING TECHNOLOGIES COMPANY HEAVILY) they will take resubmittal of 485 for another couple of months.
Should I have to wait some more time and just send family for their trip mean time? Write letter to OmBudsman....

They would however have to disclose that period of out of stay when they file the GC as G325 A asks for all status history. In other words, you will get screwed.
Whoever has some approval by means of luck or fluke does not make it the law. They will take the bite when time comes. A COS is not the way to go. A visa stamp or travel and re-entry may be a better way and note that it does not erase any earlier out of stay period.
