I sent an email to my congressman immigration staffer on Monday, about my spouse's case ( EB2 I, Dec 2005). Got a snail mail yesterday that they did not get a response and are still waitng for a response. Today, i called their office and they said they got a response and the case is assigned to on officer and wait till September 10th. My wife had spoken to 2 tier support on Auguts 5th who said your case is assigned to an officer and you are pre adjucated. We also got a response to our SR created on August 5th, which says case under review. I guess the wait goes on.

No FP yet... NSC Received Date July 12, 2007 - Notice Date TSC Sept. 10, 2007. All in all, almost 6 months and no sign of a biometrics appointment... bummer.

Make and take some big posters (small with BOLD letters would help) with you...just the gathering wont help that much unless we have some big poster in hands. This would help if we are pictured by media.

Nope, I haven't got the receipt nos for one set of checks yet, I guess people filing with TSC are getting receipt nos & also the notices.I know few friends of mine got thier notices too

In Fox News this afternoon, the senator has explicitly said that the Chicago lady does not have any "constituional rights" since she is not American citizen. Go figure what they think about us.
Congressman is absolutely worng. I hope they give such statements more and more and put their big foot into their even bigger mouth. once a h1/f1 etc visa has been issued to an individual, that individual has the right to be treated the same way as any other american till the time of his/her stay in the USA.

Been in the US since 1998, have an EB-2 PD of 2001, have played by the rules all along. Still no GC... And, the dates are going back to 2000 from the new year.. I've lost hopes...
I'm pretty close to getting clinical depression because of this game played by USCIS, Labor Dept, FBI and my own bad luck.
SKILL bill, OMNIBUS, etc. comes and goes. IV does seem to be doing things to lobby for the community, but let's face one reality. Like a news article said, no one in congress or senate wants to touch immigration even with a long pole until 2009.
The US has been very good to me (other than the GC part), more than my home country (India) which is why I'm still here.
Have invested too much of time in this country to just pack up and go. Just curious if any of you feel this way? How do you handle such depressing feelings?
Think Positive- that's the first prerequisite for positive things to happen.

Come on Guys,
We need more people to break the USCIS back. We can do it. It will not only help people who are currently facing the repercussion of this unreasonable USCIS actions, it will help others. Just think about, It could help your friends, relatives, brothers, sisters, cousins and all people....
This effort is to raise our voice towards the unfair treatment we have been receiving from USCIS since 2002. The First was the huge labor backlog, then came the ever-pending NameChecks, then came the July 2007 fiasco, then the approval of cases based on 485 ND and RD when people with PD < 2004 are waiting for years, then the frequent retrogressions. There are lot of people who got a single year EAD because PD was current till 2006 until last month. Now the dates have gone back to 2003 and no one knows when it will reach 2006 again. This is ridiculous. We need to raise our voice, otherwise, we will not see any light in the future. This is a nice opportunity to come together guys. COME UNITED guys.

I am not very well-off to do this much (my friends are, though). But this looks to be nothing when compared to the loss many faced waiting 5-10- years. So I will do.

If you and your friends are raring to go and do something for the retrogressed community, why not come forward with ideas and show some efforts, instead of just harping on a forum with a bundle of dollars in your hand! Remember, IV is made up of you and me, and it's you and me who can make all the difference. It's very easy to sit on the sidelines and talk. And one more thing - "Have a positive attitude" about everything (life, IV, GC etc) and you will notice how much your point of view will change for better.
The best advice I have for you is to join your state chapter because IV does lot of its planning and strategy implementation behind the scenes. That way you will know more about IV's current and future plans, and will be able to contribute in a positive manner.
