We're anxiously waiting for the receipt notice in the mail...

I called them and reached an IO officer and told her that I see my checks are cashed and there is a receipt number behind the check but its illegible and can she confirm the numbers for me. She asked for DOB, address, full name etc. and then gave me the receipt numbers for EAD, AP and AOS.
But if your checks are cashed then the receipt notice must be in the mail.:)

Valid for 2 years.
Applied at TSC with RD of July 7th.

I did not take till now. I thought of waiting for at least a week more as the content in the notice I received says that ' If I don't receive any other notice regarding Biometrics or Card within 90 days I need to call them'.
As you took it already, please do share your experience after you are done with it.

I am starting this new thread to discuss about EB visas spillover usage based on oldest priority date irrespective of category/country. Currently the spillover happens vertically(a top down approach) from EB1 -> EB2 -> EB3...etc. Instead it should be first used on cases with oldest priority date. This will not only give a good move to clear the backlog but will also be a fair rule for those who are patiently waiting in queue for a long time. I wrote my concern about this to my local congressman. I also request each one of you, who is impacted by this, or who is interested to help us out, to kindly contact your local congressman/woman to express your concern. In turn they can contact USCIS to implement this fair rule to help us all out.
If this idea is implemented, a Pulitzer or Oscar or Olympic Medal winner(let us say in 2010) will have to wait until all backlog before his/her PD is cleared.

May be just may be because TSC approved a lot of cases for the current PD 2 years ago and have less cases than NSC.

My current employer is not willing to provide copy of I-140. I got EAD in 2nd week of October 2007. Can I change job using AC21 without copy of I-140 from current employer. What are the documents I need to change job using AC 21? Thanks in advance for your replies

I dont believe in flower/food/sos campaigns to resolve this problem...just because it worked once before doesnt mean it is going to work again..have we pursued a class action lawsuit against Department of State/Labor/USCIS for unlawful discrimination based on the country of birth in Employment Based Visas. Any idea if IV core ever took up this path? Can we attempt to do this? What are the costs involved and can we get some good lawyer representation to this goal?
We could rally in DC and consider a lawsuit, all these lawyers advertisements you see flashing on here, when are they going to come to use? I am sure they will be able to offer a good price, if not I am sure their are a lot if immigration lawyers waiting to be a part of IV community which is gaining some momentum.
Guys I request you all, please don't wait for more time and keep contemplating your actions or putting down other IV members, we have argued and demeaned each other enough. It is my humble request, to get together and do something big

I am little pessimistic about landing as it might be a risk as you are already on AP. I read some people went on AP and come back no question asked. If you would've valid H1B visa, it might be easier. I had valid H1B approval and I use AVR to enter. If I had used AP to go back home, I would've abandoned the canadian PR. Its your choice.

This could be dream. I have been waiting for last 4 Yrs to see my date to be current. It took 3 Yrs to move just 6 months. Mine is 12/2001(EB3-India). 2 more months..sorry 2 more years to wait...
I don't blame anyone. EB3 are less educated or less skilled than EB2. America wants Highly educated. They process EB2 first. Any leftovers Visas will be given to EB3 guys. Hence EB3 people have to face long waiting. This is my understanding of how they process EB3...

My intention was more to think in right way and discourage potential -ve result bound strategies.
During presidential campaign there were all over promises on clearing backlogs, we can go on that basis and make a point of that.
One thing is clear if they like to stop outsourcing sure they have to encourage and stream line legal immigration they cannot stop or survive but cutting outsourcing as well leaving this legal immigration in limbo.
Besides what we can do at this juncture, keep our voices heard by contacting, writing letters.

2. Can highlight ecomonic point based on these math...
Ex: 500,000 EB backlog persons contribution to the country, social taxes = xxx, medicare = xxx, travel=xxx, housing =xxx.

Allows foreign workers who have started the green card process, but who are subject to green card backlogs, to pay a $500.00 supplemental fee to file an application to adjust status. This change would enable foreign workers to remain in the U.S. until the green card becomes available
Pending labor certification application in PBEC? or this only applies to people who have approved labor, approved I-140 or both?

Did anyone get their physical Cards without getting CPO message ?
I have recd the I-797C Approval notice on the 11th but I have not recd the physical cards as yet. BTW I did not get any welcome e-mail or CPO mail - I directly got 485 Approval e-mail and that is all.

I am the same boat, got the approval email and a week later received the approval notice in the mail. Did not get welcome or CPO email. My approval notice says I MAY have to do biometrics again to get my PR card
and they will notify me about appearing for biometrics if required.
Dose your approval notice have a similar message?
